Hafod Elwy Hall is 700 years old, having been built in 1353. It sits in a magnificent position on the Denbigh Moors, on the eastern fringe of the Snowdonia National Park. It commands stunning views towards the Snowdonia mountain range.
The hall is so old and so famed that Henry VIII once wandered around its land. He was one of several renowned figures who owned or leased this fourteenth century building throughout its long life!
These days, the land surrounding the property consists of 650 acres of beautiful unspoiled terrain. With its boundary is a large area of woodland, a nature reserve and the Alwen Reservoir. Like kings, anyone staying at Hafod Hall can unwind in this remote and peaceful place. You can relax amongst the spectacular views of the Welsh mountains or recline under the nights clear sky, watching the stars (this area is a designated dark sky area).

We are a 20 minute drive away from Betws Y Coed and Swallow Falls. It is just a short drive to Mount Snowdon and it's old railwayand you can even have tea at the top of the mountain. You can ascend to the summit whilst relaxing and taking in the breathtaking views, or you can be brave and test yourself on one of it's famous mountain hikes!
Or maybe you would like to visit the trampoline mine or zip lines, also not far away!

In a wildlife haven, home to over 50 species of local birds. We also share our land with our chickens and sheep. And if you're lucky you might just see deers, otters and other animals wandering around! We have cabins, bell tents and pods favoured by couples and small parties. Or you can pitch up in the fields or our wild camping field. If you want a 'Butlins' style of camping this will not suit you. We are all about keeping it as natural as possible. Real wild camping for real campers.
